Rock – France
Komodor is a Breton (France) rock band whose sound is rooted in the rock and psychedelia of the 70s. Drawing inspiration from the raw energy of legendary bands like MC5, the Stooges, and Alice Cooper, they combine the intensity of Detroit rock with a personal and contemporary touch. Their music blends fuzzy guitar riffs, powerful rhythms, and melodic harmonies, creating an immersive experience that takes the audience on a journey between paying homage to rock’s roots and asserting their own unique musical identity. Komodor brings rock back to life with a talent and passion that have been widely praised by critics.
In December 2021, their debut album Nasty Habits was acclaimed by international press (Rockplast, Rolling Stone France, Rock Hard Italy and Germany, Libération France, Nova France, France TV, FIP France, Radio 3 Spain...) and garnered a following, leading them to perform over 80 concerts across France, Spain, and Germany. Their energetic performances and unique sound made them a staple on European stages, where they captivated rock fans.
At the same time, Komodor’s members formed the supergroup Komodrag & The Mounodor with their friends from Moundrag, setting European stages ablaze at iconic festivals such as Hellfest (France), Vieilles Charrues (France), La Maroquinerie (France), and FME Sines (Portugal). This collaboration has allowed the band to build their name beyond their own project and continue to expand their audience.
As their tour with Komodrag & The Mounodor comes to an end, Komodor is already preparing for the release of their second album. A preview of five pre-mixed tracks is available, giving a taste of this highly anticipated new project. Driven by a desire to explore new musical horizons, the band members are eager to hit the road again and introduce the evolution of their unique sound to the audience.
